The Actor The Man / The Professional / The Actor Richard Flood studied theatre arts in college. His passion for acting on stage began as a teenager, being cast as the lead role in a high school play. While still in high school, he went on to perform with a college acting troupe holding his own as a principal role, learning more than 90 pages of script and blocking in less than two weeks. That performance earned him the Director's Award for Exemplary Performance, and fueled his passion for performing. Since then, he pursued acting in college, as a member of the Thespian Club, and taking Advanced Acting courses. He was featured in several stage plays and performed for student and faculty audiences during his college years. After college, he was inspired to perform on a different stage, as a radio air personality under the alias "Valentine". He was nothing less than an innovator on the airwaves during that period. His listeners loved his exuberant and whimsical personality as he invented catch phrases that became local cliche's, such as "Every Day is Valentine's Day". He also was the first to introduce radio audiences to "Valentine's Day Hook-Ups," a dating segment, which is still being done on popular radio stations today. Listeners tuned in every day to make sure they were included on the "V.I.P. List," which was his acronym for Valentine's Important People. His popularity on the air garnered the number one ranking from 6pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, a feat that no other urban station personality had ever had in that market. Shortly after his on-air days, Richard Flood focused his attention to his business ventures behind the scenes. He stayed in radio, as an advertising sales consultant, while starting his own marketing firm. A year later, he began building a modeling agency from the ground up to represent other aspiring talent. In 2000, he began a career in photography, which he still maintains to this day. Having accomplished his business goals, Mr. Flood is ready to return to a career in front of the camera. So far, he has done television work as an extra on the court television show "Judge Alex" and an American Express commercial. On the big screen, he has earned a lead role and speaking role in a couple of short films. His most significant principal role was in the feature length film "Witchcraft 13", which will be available on DVD soon.
